Billing & Subscription Terms

Usage Terms
Credits & Page Limits
Paid plans operate on a credit-based system where 1 credit equals 1 page processed. Credits are provided monthly and do not roll over to subsequent billing periods. Page limits per comparison are enforced based on your plan tier.
Fair Use Policy
SpecLens is designed for legitimate business and procurement purposes. Automated scraping, API abuse, or excessive usage that impacts system performance may result in account suspension. We reserve the right to enforce reasonable usage limits.
Data Processing
We process uploaded documents using AI models to extract and compare specifications. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not train our AI models on your private documents without explicit consent. Processed data may be retained for up to 30 days for performance optimization and support purposes.
Acceptable File Types
We support PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX), Excel (XLS/XLSX), PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX), and web pages via URL. Files must not exceed 50MB per document. Malicious files or documents containing viruses will be rejected.
Account & Cancellation
Account Creation
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. Email verification is required to access paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Subscription Changes
You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time. Upgrades are prorated and take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. When upgrading, unused credits from your previous plan are prorated and rounded up.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of SpecLens, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the exclusive property of SpecLens and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.
You retain all rights to the documents you upload. By using SpecLens, you grant us a limited license to process your documents solely for the purpose of providing our services.
Limitation of Liability
SpecLens provides AI-powered analysis tools intended to assist with procurement decisions. Our comparison results and recommendations are not a substitute for professional judgment. You are solely responsible for verifying information and making final purchasing decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpecLens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SpecLens shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of SpecLens after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
